Health Insurance Deductions on Leaving the organization

Does anyone know if we remove our parents from the health insurance policy in this financial year and no benefits have been used from the premium, will we still be charged for the entire year? My last working day is in May. Asking it here because my hr doesnt know about it and MediBuddy is not responding.
