Hdfc joining process

Can anyone please help me to understand, i got the hdfc offer letter from HR. But it'mentioned that to accept the offer letter and enter tentative joining date in the hdfc career portal.

This option will be available after uploading the documents in background verification only.

Can anyone please help me to understand what exactly is the process to join and when should i resign as currently i did not get the acceptance option in hdfc portal?
