HCL Offer Released but Joining After 2–3 Weeks – Normal?

Hi everyone, I recently received an offer from HCL, but the joining date is given almost 2–3 weeks later (end of January). When I checked, HR mentioned that BGV (background verification) takes around 15 days, and onboarding will happen only after that. Another HR also mentioned that HCL has recently changed the process — first offer release, then BGV, and then onboarding. Just wanted to check: Is anyone else currently facing a similar situation with delayed joining dates after offer release at HCL? Would appreciate hearing recent experiences. Thanks!
