Trending @HCL; HCL HR is a joke
I was recruited to HCl a month back but on joining I was not provided any project as of now . For the initial stay I booked a Hotel as per the policy told to me . They said they will reimburse. Now I have submitted a claim for the reimbursement. It has been approved by my manager and also my leadership ( L4 level) . But the HR is still pending with the approval.
The funny part is that the HR partner suddenly changed . Earlier the HR was from Infra Global LOB. The new HR is from Just Global HR LOB - Employee Experience ( Infra is not mentioned ) .
Now I have two questions -

What does this signify ? Are they moving me to bench since HR change is rare . I am reporting to the same manager thou.

Please note I am still billing under training since a project has not been assigned yet . My manager is trying to assign me to a particular project task however I dont see any development as noone replies .

What could happen in the worst case ?

For reimbursements, you may have to fight a bit as in write emails, call, and constant follow up etc. but eventually you will get it.
Just check with reporting person sometimes like myself when joined 3 years back it took more than 45 days to onboard into project and credentials after joining day. Whe i inquired it was mentioned that client btc took time
My reporting manager is trying to onboard me for which a client interview will be scheduled but the client is not available now. Also he is coordinating with another project manager who will talk to the client but that person is also not responding.

Is happens all the time in HCL with new recruits. I was in the same situation when I joined and was on bench for more than a year.
Just make sure no issues with your side and keep on get in touch with your RM for project allocation or any upskill programs.
