Have you started curtailing your expenses due to on going firing / force resignations? I am sure people would have stopped or lessened their discretionary spending and more focus on saving due to being unsure about the future.

Savings was a habit - so even if i am unemployed i can pay myself close to 70k a month for 3 years and still have a reasonable corpus left over. ( without touching EPF )

I started saving from July month. Cut down my expenses. Not sure how much this will help me.

Day one of month, already in negative (more expenses and bills to be paid than available bank balance). Have to go for lending from outside or begging family member for money. This causes one to look for shortcuts and quick money schemes like lottery, gambling etc.,

Apart from curtailing expenses, I hope people are making sure they save good too. Don't spend like there is no tomorrow and don't have the YOLO mindset here. Doesn't mean you don't spend but don't buy phone on EMI (unless you are doing for some offer) etc.

Yes. Plan to do so from September. Late, but hopefully not too late.
