Have you faced tribal hazing when you joined a software new team or org?

One of my mentees(I run a community Zero Maintenance Engineers), joined a Car manufacturing Plant in its Gear Division as he had to balance his preparation for interviews and earn money.

There was no onboarding. His manager said go and work with the team.

The existing team members

1. never shared knowledge.

2. made him run in circles

3. It took them more than 4-5 months to talk to him normally
