My grandparents used to live on ground floor and we were on first floor. Almost 20 years ago, one night my dadi heard knocking on the main gate. Grandparents went out to see and there was a woman standing outside the gate, with a bag. She was wearing normal cloths but her face was covered, only her eyes were visible. When my dada asked what she wanted she replied 'paani milega kya?'. At 3:30 AM. Perplexed at this ofcourse they refused. And the woman took her bag and just left. She didn't run just casually walked away. Some said that she might have been a robber but again why would a robber knock on the main gate. Also she didnt panick at all when confronted. Some old folks said that it could have been durga ma because it was durga ashtami that day🙂 This was not paranormal but very weird and creepy almost.
When I hear stories of people in my daily life who claim to have had "paranormal experiences", I'm shocked and appalled at their lack of basic critical thinking, and lack of ability and imagination to think of possible naturalistic explanations of things.
Like a couple of days ago a coworker was trying to give me proof of existence of ghosts, by telling me that the new tire of his car exploded suddenly in the middle of the night. He could not think of any other reason for an exploded tire than ghosts. 🤦♂️
I can't decide whether to laugh or despair when I hear stuff like this said in earnestness, from otherwise "educated" corporate working professionals. The education system of this country seems to be in shambles.

I have not experienced anything personally, but I know people who had a paranormal experience.
