I would recommend to open your mind. You don't need to have a great fluency in English but should learn enough so that the other person can understand you. But talking about behaviour, it must be good. Always try to keep a learning attitude, behave well with everyone even if you don't like them and never ever give a slightest hint of arrogance while talking. This will help you in you interviews as well as in the company which you join. I've had many interviews where I haven't answered all the questions but me attitude with the interviewer got me through.

Soft skills very important when it comes to convincing your team on the solution you present for a problem

If you can talk properly, consider yourself good in soft skill. If you can't, soft skill is all about confidence, fake the confidence initially, later it'll come.

Seen most people reaching a presentable place by 1-2 Yoe.

Interns can be pretty timid.

Look yourself in the mirror.. look into your eyes.. and notice if you start stammering or pausing.. try to get over it in the privacy of your home, it worked wonders for me

Soft skills (as in good communication skills, empathy towards team members etc) are good to have but , what (sadly) seems to work more (at least in bigger orgs) is the ability to kiss ass and be a Yes man.. That's what I have seen during my 15+ years in mostly large orgs - product & service based.

Record your phone calls, listen to them, understand how you speak, try to improve by filling the gaps,
Put this in a loop
