Have you ever been close to getting arrested or been arrested?

Closest I have come: me and my friends had just stepped out of a bar one night in Mumbai

There was a chawl nearby and there was a fight happening - one guy beating another woman with a stick (presumably his wife)

My friend being a nice person stepped in middle of them and was like I won’t let you hit her

The guy who was hitting was extremely drunk

But then people took notice, police van was passing by. They took us into the van.

Initially they were like wtf were you doing, but when we explained they got it.

Ultimately the woman denied the man was hitting her at the station… as things usually go unfortunately :/

3 of us friends were out for a late night sutta near Sony signal in Koramangala. 2 Cops on a patrol bike pull up asking us to buzz off.

One of my friends asked for the logic and the beat cop started behaving brashly, threatening all sorts of cases he can register.

It escalated too quickly and the patrol car pulled up soon. We just quit the argument and left, couldav been arrested if we kept at it a lil while longer.

I added Rat Poison in a friend's drink. The friend got a massive seizure and fainted. He was taken to the hospital and everyone started investigating who gave this thing to him. Got saved somehow, else would have been arrested.

I have seen people getting arrested and beaten by police many times.

Went to throw trash at a nearby designated stop in Bangalore last year. A random dude came and started shouting at me in Kannada. A cop too stood nearby and smiled, as a small crowd gathered.
Probably wanted bribes in the middle of the day.
I just came back after throwing the trash, rather bemused.
