If you read the fine print, expecting the company to confirm that they have laid you off is the most difficult aspect. They might just mention that you resigned on your own.

Doesn't work in India Reason for contract termination is resignation - which is not covered in job insurance

Even forced resignation is resignation.
Company restructuring is also resignation.

Don't fall for it.
