Has anyone tried the Comet Browser (by perplexity)? What are your thoughts?

Before talking about Comet, I wanted to share my journey into this AI world.

When ChatGPT came, I remember looking for alternatives and finding out Perplexity AI for the very first time. During that period, i felt it was a browser in itself, just that its response needed some more refining and better understanding of the user's query/prompt. Eventually switched back to ChatGPT (primary tool), Gemini (for seeking validation to GPT's response) & Grok (for reviews). And, Claude is out of league for me right now 😅

Yesterday, I tried the Comet browser for the very first time and found it pretty useful. Like I can:

  • find emails from the last couple of days that require replies and draft responses for each simultaneously.

  • summarise all my events for this week into a quick agenda that I can scan.

  • identify promotional emails in my inbox and unsubscribe from them.

And many more..

Now even ChatGPT has announced their own new browser called "Atlas", I was thinking about people's experiences with Perplexity's "Comet" browser; which is now available for free (initially was an invite only or available to their pro+ users).

Do share your views on this and if you have any tips/tricks/hacks on getting out the most from it.

Also, if you are thinking of installing Comet, DM me, I have a referral link :P
