Has anyone here visited sikkim before?
We are planning to visit Sikkim during the Jan-Feb months. I got to know that Gurudongmar Lake will not be opened due to heavy snowfall.
Can someone share your experience and which travel you booked? Anything else.
We went with 7 friends to celebrate new year 😅😅. We’re lucky enough to reach Gurudongemar lake. But there were heavy snowfalls. Most of the vehicles returned after few kilometres. It was 2018-2019.
Gurudongmar lake is at approx 12k altitude but wind over there is too chilly. If you somehow go also in jan-feb then visit from up don't go down near lake. I have been to lachun lachen as well in same trip but gurudongmer lake was tough. In sikkim traveling is very costly compared to up north in himachal or jammu. Southern parts of sikkim are easy to cover.
Man the road from Sikkim to Gurudongmar lake is nasty, it has so many turns, most people get sick including me
Yes went there for giecha la pass with ' trek the Himalayas'. Loved the youksom and gangtok.. You will enjoy a lot
