It's truly excellent I really marvel at what Anthropic is done, there was almost a feeling how they'd do against Open AI Google Elon all being in their own games.

Ultimately, Claude has killed it at B2B revenue. It's unquestionably amazing, and I hope it continues to move that way!

@AGIcoming for you folks at Google (in terms of work) though I assume you don't get to use claude models right?

Yeah has any startup operated at loss margins like anthropic reportedly running at a loss of 3-5 billion usd. Also do you really believe revenue projections/ break even by 2028. It is much easier that anthropic’s advantage can be threatened in future by another firm like anthropic threatened openai than the company continuously winning. All it takes is one pissed up senior employee breaking off and founding his own lab with conviction and proper folks. https://www.wheresyoured.at/why-everybody-is-losing-money-on-ai/

Also Open source is catching up which is gonna threaten this lead too in the future. AI is kinda like nuclear tech just more oss and a lot of research being relatively freely available. A lot of the times what matters is the funding for compute (similar to investment money and uranium requirement for becoming ☢️).

Also it took US a lot of effort to become nuclear and post that other states required relatively less effort coz some of the research was already available freely and some folks of France were already involved in Manhattan project and Russia had spies so for them going nuclear was far easier. Even India and Pak went nuclear although in their case it was more about conviction and constant war which lead to them deciding to go nuclear coz spending money was tougher as developing economies. But when they decided atleast for Pak wasn’t it this guy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Qadeer_Khan Who had previous experience working in the west because of whose knowledge they were able to go nuclear.

Worry not no one company is gonna rule the ai battlefield. When they will become too big someone else will step up and gather money to compete with them.

Hmm also are we gonna see AI disarmament kinda stuff in future where US and west may interfere with other countries building their own ai models once US firms reach AGI? 😑 so that they have so called supremacy?

Btw just to add I kinda like Anthropic more than other firms right now coz they focus more on codegen related post training and that is seen when you build agents with it versus Openai which totally recked gpt 5 by training it on history books filled with em dashes so much so that they had to release gpt 5.1 just to remove the em dashes stuff

How long it is sustainable though. They are definitely doing great but eventually gotta add ad or something

This is happening a lot, vs initial days of claude code release
