Hard water purifier??

Living in Bangalore, the hard water is mostly causing a lot of hair fall and my hairline is receding. Has anyone used any good filter inside the bathroom? Or found an alternative as such?

Kent softener. Fix it to your water supply. Add crystal salt once a month. And happily slip in the bathroom given the softness of the water.
