Handling skill set switch from experienced Java to Python Data AI without prior experience

Hi, 5 years experience in Java full stack till now. I am working on AI skills. How to switch to other companies along with skill set switch to Python/ Data / AI / Gen AI without prior experience? Should I mention truth while framing resume (like previously I dnt hv experience in skillset I worked on Java or complete lie as posing experienced Python AI guy). Give suggestions

One way I can think of and one senior once recommended was to lie, no one outside your org will know whether you were working on java or python. For that you have to prepare entire story and stuff.
