HUMAN RESOURCES KILLED RECRUITING In more orgs than I can count...

and only a handful ever admit it..

HR took recruiting and suffocated it with policies, politics, and processes It took a function meant to bring in the best people and turned it into paperwork

Seen it happen too many times: Hiring Manager loves a candidate, makes a case HR blocks the offer due to "internal parity concerns" The best candidate walks. Business loses millions. HR calls it "fair"

Recruiters find an A+ player HR wants to follow the process, another panel round "just to be sure" Candidate accepts another offer in 24 hours. HR says "We'll find someone else"

Candidate says "I'm ready to join" HR says "We need more approvals. Expect an offer next week" By the time they're ready, the candidate is GONE

Hiring managers are FUMING Recruiters are BURNED OUT Candidates ... well they have just GIVEN UP on your company

Yet HR still runs hiring. How? WHY? oh wait.. you don’t see the problem.. (then) I agree... you ARE the problem

Before I close - some companies do GET IT (very few, but they do) Shoutout to the companies where HR knows its sht and not in sht Mad respect for you folks out there

Why is that? Do they choose sending rejections via email as an easy way out - cause of the volume? Is hiding behind emails WAYYYYY easier? Is the basic mindset that .. anyways X is/ are rejected, why waste time there? Isn't that mindset...
