H1B Visa initiation process
If H1 is picked will they initiate the visa and process it till stamping and when they will send to onsite project.. Any ideas and suggestions to get the visa
They will first file petition for you in the next few days. Then it will take some time for it to get approved directly or RFE status (if RFE , it will take 2 more months time)
Then they will send petition to your location.
Thats when you start filling ds160 and look for stamping appt.
When they will send ? - that completely depends on the project, if there is opening and if your skillset matches it they will send. I personally know many who got stamping and still here with one year more for visa expiry.
Also You will stop getting As :) they will show this onsite carrot to get you to do all the work.
Some accounts release an associate so he can find a different account that has urgent onsite need. Like i said, it completely depends on your manager. He can tell any story to keep you here for a long time.
