Did anyone recently got approached by their managers for raising H1B? Do they really raise H1B or its a tactics to keep the key people in the projects?

They applied for my H1B last year and even though it got selected, they never assigned me to a project and let my selection lapse.
It’s all a tactic to keep you working on the project, the golden carrot!

Yeah, one of my colleague also got H1B last year but he still didn’t get any project yet. What response was provided to you for not assigning to any US projects?

There are not such opportunities right now in US, will assign me as soon as there is a project and now when I have resigned they have opportunities for me to retain and I am sure that will be gone when I take my paper back
