Guys, please help. RTO issues

I raised an exception for RTO despite my supervisor's disapproval. I mentioned my issues to the HR. HR again asks my supervisor to confirm this approval. Now my supervisor is sending me an email asking me if I have any email from local ODC admins, that there is no space available in that particular ODC. I mean... seriously...what on earth! Which admin would send out emails to someone facing this issue ...

Does he expect the people from ODCs to send out emails that I'm not supposed to sit and work from cafeteria or the library centre because it's obvious that project ODC is not there in my location and there is no seat tagged to my name.

Seriously, do people droop that down towards stupidity to prove their point and supremacy of position they're in.

It's obvious to get frustrated in such situation. However, do understand how it works. If supervisor is approving something then he must have proper reasons for the same as well. Unable to procure seat is one of the reasons. Now I agree that your supervisor has to take into consideration the seat issue, but since it's a need at your end - drop an email to location admin to assist with seating copying your supervisor. In case they explicitly mention that they can't give you a seat with x, y, z connectivity and infrastructure then the supervisor has to find another way to enable you. Which in turn means he has to allocate some budget in planning an ODC for you OR he has to approve you Exception until he finds a solution.

Hope it makes things clear.

Thanks, and I really hope my supervisor had at least 50% of the clarity that you have. Because he was so rude when I brought this to him over a telephone conversation.

Sit in toilet and cafeteria, and if you don’t productive, ask to the customer put cc your supervisor, delivery head and everyone.

They want 100% to be done as they want by sitting and hotting the chair.

Sometimes, it looks like dictatorship by the to management and we are slaves. Humanity and natural sentiments have already dies in top management, and trust me such ridiculous decision cum orders are made in chennai or Bangalore.

Take calls from the office toilet with your camera on, and tell them there was no other private location in office πŸ‘

Hello, here's a solution to your problem, raise a request for seat allocation in Ultimatix(GHD) You'll get a reply from the admin team that there aren't any seats available to be allocated. Now, this email can serve as solid proof, which is what you want. Hope this helps!

I will tell you exactly what I did for the same problem, I raised an exception in gess and sent out an email, I copied supervisor, HR, Local admin, all these people's bosses and their bosses, I basically escalated two levels and asked them to either provide me seat in a dedicated ODC or give WFO exception and I told them that I will come to office without ODC but my productivity will greatly decrease, I also told them that if this is something they couldn't resolve I would escalate this issue further to their bosses, as at this point asking you to come to office without odc and work is basically harassment.

At first they told me to just login and go back, So I started doing it on company time. My manager complained about my unavailability during work hours, I told him I complaint with RTO so there is no other option, and again I escalated it to their bosses, for 15 days my manager got me exception as now he had to answer for slow deliverables from my end. in 15 days they arranged a seat for me and I am working from office now.

πŸ₯² I'm ready to work from any ODC provided there's a seat. But my supervisor is actually forcing me to simply spend an hour or two in the cafeteria for the sake of RTO.

Seems like your Supervisor is an ahole. You need to connect with HR to discuss the same. You need to connect with the building Admin for a seat or a place to work with access.

Find a contact of who manage infra at your location drop him email askig about seat. He/she will respond as there is no seats available for sure . Forward same email to your supervisor .

I dont understand! Is it not a responsibility of supervisor or account manager to arrange shared ODC or seat. Why it is expected from the associate to find his own seat!? I am bit new to TCS,but this doesn't seem right to me
