Guys, fair advice needed. I asked my manager for project release and I am completing my 4 yrs next month.
My dilemma is whether I have made a mistake or not. Because now my manager won't initiate my promotion and God knows how long it will take to release me and finding a new project. Then working under a new manager, he won't initiate promotion as well because I will be new.
So I feel like I made a mistake and have delayed my promotion by atleast a year or more.
Bro once you feel like quitting then quit. Even if you stay back it won't be the same again. But ya you made mistake by saying it to your manager. Now you gave them one big reason to not initiate promotion. More or other way it's useless. No salary change if you get promotion. 4 years bruh just switch the company
Actually I get digital incentives, so a promotion would make that variable component fixed. That's why I need it. I really f*cked up. Because the new project now might even give me C band just for being a new joinee
If you are in the C2 band then quit well and in favour of you that your manager does not initiate promotion for you.
Reason:- If you are in a bucket of C3 or C3 A and above then you can't get 100% variable. Up to Grade C2 you got 100% Variable above C2 you will get only peanut
