Let me explain from a dudes perspective- It's okay to help your friends. But helping her on a 6 hr call on a different timezone is way overboard. Which our brain translates to this guy trying too hard to be nice to the girl. And the girl not acknowledging his help and advertising it as his guy friend helping means that she doesn't care and that's why all the katega and friend zoned comments.

I could never understand people who talk for hours until i met good friends i could do it with. Plus I'm an introvert.
Male bestie ke saath 2-3 ghanta aaram se hoti baat, every few months catching up. Ek female friend bhi thi jisse 2-3 hours at a stretch ho jaati thi but we don't keep in touch anymore.
Just need the right sort of people, 3-4 hours conversation isn't that difficult with good friends regardless of gender.
