Trending @Infosys; Gurgaon, no seat available

What the fuck is happening. First they asked to work from the office. Now they can't manage it. They said you can go to your nearest dc but now they have restricted from entering Gurgaon dc.

If you can't manage why the fuck they are asking to come to the office. If they can't provide they should rent a floor in some building.

Cause they didn’t promise you GGN as base location. If everyone starts working wherever they want them why have base location. Your base location was assigned based on the seating capacity of that location and not GGN.

They didn't think about it before saying you can go to your nearest location. Or treat your employee better. Am I a criminal ? This is how we are being treated when going to the office. You can't logout here and there.
They can manage more efficiently they should have told that other can come office after 4 pm so gurgaon dc employee won't face issue

And I was from a gurgaon location but for the project they instantly changed my location to Banglore literally within a minute.

Now when i requested from the bench they didn't bother to look.

You are speaking form a position where you see going to office as favour you are doing to Infosys. Things have changed . Look around. Anyways you are justified if they changed your base location without your consent

@WorseBuggy It is not the rule at all. In SOW they have mentioned the location/s, which are allowed w.r.t projects. Although, if your manager is allowing you WFAnywhere then get an approval from the manager and put it on a face to the GGN HR. However, the manager and HR are not willing to do this, so one has to do it who is facing the issue. Recently faced this and resolved. Happily going to GGN DC.

How do you resolve the issue?

Talk to your manager, they will drop and email to HR. Plus you have to find the HR and that/those HR in email. And keep on following up. Convience your manager for temporary transfer. If not ask them you cannot come to office and the way guards are treating I can't tolerate.

The rule is to go to your base location.

Facing the same issue. I wanted a transfer out of Bangalore to be closer to home in Punjab but also wanted to connect in person with team members but Gurgaon was not available in the transfer portal.

The BPHR told me to apply for Chandigarh or Mohali and work out of Gurgaon. Now I am in a situation where I cannot complete my WFO quota as the security is not even letting me enter the building without a booked seat (InfyMe sucks) and I am asking random managers to grant me exceptional WFH. All this with working 12-13 hours everyday with Managers who call me any time of the day they please.

Working from Base DC is the Norm not only in infosys but in most companies, working from the nearest DC was always a temporary relaxation and was supposed to be discontinued as and when required.

DCs have limited seating capacity, and base location is allotted keeping in mind the seating capacity and project requirements.

If people start coming to random DCs irrespective of their allocation, there's no way it remains sustainable.
