Guidence on cybersecurity field

I am a fresher and have been assigned the cybersecurity field (SIEM) and I don't have sufficient knowledge of the field. How is the cybersecurity/ IT security field in general and what are growth opportunities in India? Anyone having any knowledge please do share.
