Guidance or Roadmap?

Let's just say someone wants to start learning Development and wants to bag a job, in today's market and tech standard, which tech stack would be more practical to start with? And what learning approach would be more promising anything course based learning or free platform like freecodecamp / Odin Project?

Asking this on behalf of a cousin who will be graduating soon but not from CS.

I have knowledge of few things, but don't have hands on experience of anything as such, hence reaching out to you folks.

Would really appreciate your suggestions. Please give few minutes to help me help him.
