Guidance on Location Change After 1 Year at TCS (Client ODC Available)
I have recently completed 1 year at TCS. I want to request a location change to a city where my client also has an ODC

If your manager is ok, the official transfer (self-initiated) can be raised from GESS. there are a bunch of approvals from various people and department but the only prerequisite is your manager approval for all of them! You'll need to chase them for approvals that's it. I changed mine from Bangalore to Kolkata in similar way without any major hurdles.
Better find a project having an ODC in that location and check with their management for giving access to that ODC which they can do by raising the same in the RIGHTS portal ..As the location transfer entirely depends on your base RMG along with a condition of a min serving serving period for 2 years at your current location
In My Project teammates are from different locations, including the one I want to move to. They said location change is usually allowed.
Also, if I want to change base location, does it need a lot of approvals? If my project manager agrees, will RMG approve easily?
