Guidance needed on data analytics career growth
Yoe - 6.5yrs I am a hardworking professional and have a decent command over my data analytics tech stacks. However, in my last two organizations, I have struggled to highlight my work and create an impact around it. I also tend to get caught up in office politics. I usually take up only the tasks I am confident about and take full accountability for them, but I avoid the more challenging and trending ones like GenAI chatbots, which has kept my visibility low.
I aim to become a Lead Data Analyst or Analytics Manager in the next 2–3 years. Any suggestions for me? Also, could you recommend some good books to build managerial and leadership skills, learn to plan better, handle office politics, and work more strategically?

Say yes. And be ready to learn on the go. That's the only way. Most of the time, the tasks will be something new and the one who takes the risk gets rewarded. Have been there and earned the rewards too.
Understand how your peers are marketing their work. Post it in your common channels. Volunteer to help people out. Add value to others. Take items off of your managers plate.
