Guidance needed

I’m currently an IT Operations Manager with 8+ years of experience in a service-based company, and I’m trying to move into TPM or Product Management roles.

The challenges I’m facing:

My current company has no TPM/PM opportunities. Most external TPM/PM roles expect 5+ years of direct experience, which I don’t have. APM/junior PM roles usually mean a 30–40% salary drop, which I can’t afford right now they also need 2-3 yrs of product experience.

Has anyone here successfully made this transition from Ops to TPM/PM? What steps, skills, or strategies helped you break in without taking a major hit on salary?

Also, Will it be worthy to do any Short term product management courses offered by IIT/IIM or any other institute? If yes, please suggest which one to opt for?
