Growth hack for Infra Architect
Hey Guys,
Currently I am working Backup and Recovery specialist in Bangalore and I am expert in Commvault Tool.
As far as my research, there is no much scope or growth for Infrastructure guys other than IT services companies..
The opportunities are not similar as apps guys, in terms of pay and other facilities.
When I check Technical Architect, I got most calls for Application Architect not for infra.. More ever, I am more interested to work in startup eco system, but most of small/medium companies outsourced their infra to service based companies..
Few major players have in-house infra team, it’s very rare that companies looking Architect..
What is your opinion on that, being an Infra Architect how can I tune myself to fit into find my desired job.

Backup used to be bad earlier. Now because of cyber resiliency and cloud data protection the jobs have surged. Still nowhere near what the other fields have.
I'd say get into a product company. There are only 5 or 6 for backups. If not then try to up skill. You can go for databases or networks. They are evergreen fields in infra.
