Gratuity

I will complete 5 years in Aug'24. How do I check how much gratuity would I be eligible for? And how does it work when switching jobs?

The formula is: (15 * Your last drawn salary * the working tenure) / 30. For example, you have a basic salary of Rs 30,000. You have rendered continuous service of 7 years and the employer is not covered under the Gratuity Act. Gratuity Amount = (15 * 30,000 * 7) / 30 = Rs 1,05,000.

Seriously this is the formula? Basic salary is so low in TCS so the total gratuity would never reach 1 lakh 🤦

In Accenture the salary you can structure on your own.. one of.my known defined 80k basic and same package in TCS getting 45k

Hi, You should see your Gratuity amount in your payslip. It is mentioned clearly in the payslip. When you switch, it will be paid to you with your FFS

There is a formula to calculate Gratuity which is based on Basic pay and no of months you worked.

This component can be visible in your payslip itself
