[Grapevine’s Biggest Update] Launching Salaries on Grapevine
Happy Friday Grapeviners,
TL;DR: We are launching our biggest product since Grapevine itself. We’ve worked really really hard on this one.
Salaries is now live as the ‘middle tab’ on the Grapevine app
Why we built this: Getting paid is one of the main reasons why we work, and our goal with Grapevine was always to solve for information asymmetry
With this we set out to make a product with the following principles at its core:
- Make Salary information visual
- Focus on freshness
- Bring out the story behind the data
- Help people assess their own salaries v/s global data
Two requests:
- Please give us feedback on how we can improve
- Please please please share this with your friends, network and followers
Enough of me. Now go check it out :)

P.S: It’s only available on the latest build of the app - please do update
Also, this is just a small start
Today, the product works well for software engineers, kinda well for product managers and designers.
But as we gather more salary data points - this only gets better and more actionable :)

Thanks for the update boss.
Maybe for a future update but I think for the salary and experience filters a range meter would be better than individual range options for more nuanced control.

Sooon!

Showing this to my manager on Monday 👍🏻

Best of luck 😂
So I earn 77% less than the role average. Amazing. Perfect start of weekend
Is there any specific reason to keep the window of 6 months to update your salary card?
@Micheal_Scott I had missed a zero accidentally at the end of my fixed salary amount and there is no way to edit it now. 😪
Seems like a good idea, but I guess you guys need to have checks and balances to keep the wrong information out.
Some people might post outrageous CTCs pr some might quote lower just for fun and mess around with others.
Recruiters will have a difficult time arguing against my proposed comp now. Thank you for all the data.
How are you planning to make sure people update the right CTC in their salary card?
I entered wrong level while creating my salary card. I cannot update it until 6months now...
