Grapevine is evolving into just another social media site ?
Things have gotten political ! Came here to read salaries and office gossip, hardly looks the same last 2 3 days. I still participated in a few discussions, but realised I should just be doing Reddit if I want to do that (more people there, more fights). Why the sudden change ?
If this had occurred in a different city, it wouldn't have garnered as much attention, but since it's happening in a city where most of the viners reside, they're discussing it. Eventually, it'll fade from memory, and your feed will return to its usual content.

Exactly this. I personally moved away from Reddit political stuff because it would always leave me with a bad taste (enraged at comments). I realized it doesn't add to me if I follow every political news.
That said, as somebody who is going to live at least the next decade in Bangalore, it's prolly important for me to know the views around what's happening here. It's too core.
Somehow seems like the effect of "Grapes" to unlock DMs where people started posting suddenly in high number on various topics, or just free time coz of year and what not
Also does anyone else feel that IT cells of political parties are making posts here? I think I just saw a certain upcoming temple appreciation post
