Grapevine chat is buggy!
Hey Grapevine team, the chat is extremely buggy and I see messages and typing events from other users in any chat window. You might want to take a look at this.

Do you mean in a chat with one user - you see messages from another user?

In a user's chat window, I can see messages from other users too. Typing event as well of other users gets displayed in one user's chat window.
I didn't take screenshots but here's how you could reproduce it:
Open a chat window with someone. Ask other users to ping you while you stay in the chat window you've opened.
I'm guessing it's a event subscription filter issue. When in a chat window, the events from other users needs to be filtered or sent to notification svc

I agree , I too faced this. Also I am no longer able to dm people even tho I have enough karma points
