Spending that money on Copilot will help you more

I'm not only looking for code completion but also want to understand complex things in a better and efficient way...

if it's understanding you're seeking then AI is not where you should be looking imo. Consider going through documentation, reading tutorials/articles or video content depending on whichever format suits you more.

I haven’t taken the subscription but I guess you can try it out for a month. I use GPT-3.5 on a daily basis and it works like a charm. 🔥🔥 Makes your life so much simpler as a developer. Prefer using GPT over Stack Overflow/Google Search any day! You just need to know how to extract the best out of it.

I have both ChatGPT and Copilot. I prefer Copilot for codebase related things, as I don’t have to always copy the whole file it just knows what file you’re referring to.
But Copilot is not for other things; for that I find ChatGPT useful.

Try cursor.sh. The free tier is okayish to start with. Plus you have the chat right into the IDE.
