Got Rejected By Dalmia Group Holdings, but I don't buy their reason for rejecting me
Hi everyone,
I applied for the Investment Analyst (Family Office) role at Dalmia Group Holdings and received an assignment to pitch a stock and create a two-page report including my thesis and findings. I designed every chart and visual graphic from scratch and even had the assignment reviewed by friends working in investment and my batchmates. I made sure to align it with industry standards, referring to research reports from AMCs.
Despite all this effort, I was rejected, and the reason given was related to my skillset and experience. However, my resume is specifically tailored for equity research and investment roles. I approached the assignment in a way that highlighted my investment analysis skills.
The job description mentioned 0-2 years of experience, which is why I believed I was a suitable candidate. I’m curious to hear your thoughts — what do you guys think could be the real reason behind my rejection?
Thanks in advance for your insights!
