Trending @Infosys; Got offer from MNC 2024
I got an offer with 48% hike in one of the MNC, should I join ? My current CTC is 11.3lpa as JL4. Iam not sure how to join as I would need to relocate to Bangalore with my family and I'm currently living at my native place. Please suggest what I should do?
Should I retain it if they offer something or put the papers?

Calculate the tax deduction and considering Bangalore's expense, check if it is worth it cause relocation is not an easy job

That's true, but seeing the trend I don't find infy will offer any hike..also iam working since 3 years here and not got any hike.

True, I understand the scenario. But you need to weigh in the factors regarding your expenses. The risk is worth taking if you have at least 3 months worth of savings with you considering the initial expenses are what majorly cause the issue. Once you get the hang of the lifestyle I don't think it should be so hectic. Also, it surely helps if you have a working partner as he/she could also get a good hike while jumping organizations. No problem if you're single cause adjusting alone is easier than with a family

Ask the HR if they will cover your relocation expenses. Moreover, Bangalore is a lovely city. Even if it's expensive, it'll push you to work harder to earn a better life and trust me it's worth it. Also it's very difficult to get an opportunity with a decent hike considering Infy's notice period. So Id suggest save up for the next 3 months and prepare for the move!

I liked your suggestion ☺️

Don’t look at just the money angle I don’t think you will save anything extra if you are enjoying a rent free low cost life in native. But if you think you are getting a more challenging work environment to hone your skills then go ahead. 2 years down the line you can again get another 40% if you have the right skills

With same mindset I have spent 3 years in Infosys, it seems the company knows this very well and you cannot go out of comfortzone ever

I won't suggest moving to bangalore with family for only 48% hike with 11.3 lpa, especially if you are the only breadwinner for family. I would suggest you work hard in notice period and get other offers based on the offer u received from infy you may get much more

My current is 11.3lpa...on which I got hike ... exactly 16.4lpa now. Yes iam only the breadwinner but iam sitting here with no hike from last 3 years.

If you still have time try giving interviews and get counter offer and ask for preferred location

I would say accept the offer , submit your resignation and start applying companies closer to you or in your native. Once your notice period reduces you will get more interview offers with decent hikes , then reject the banglore offer. If you are comfortable with location. You may not get the same offer as banglore but its should be good considering the expenses saved for relocation. Banglore is a beautiful city but is expensive and crowded with bad traffic. Work where you feel comfortable and relaxed.

You should first see how much you will save if you relocate to banglore, whether it makes any substantial saving or not, as compared to your current location. As far as infosys counters+ do not rely much on that. It is always better to take those opportunities which are in hand as compared to those for which just assurance you have.

Considering relocation you may be back again ground zero,, try for other company at your current location
