I recently completed 3 months in my current project as an Associate. On Workday, I received some negative feedback. I asked my TL about the specific user stories where I might have fallen short. In response, my TL arranged a call and also pulled in our Associate Manager. During the discussion, my TL clarified that this type of feedback is usually given to all freshers and that it was not related to my actual performance. He even mentioned that my performance so far has been exceptionally good, and he appreciated that I take ownership of my tasks. He asked me not to consider that feedback as a reflection of my performance. At the end, he asked if I had any questions, but in the moment I panicked and didnβt ask anything further. Why is such generic negative feedback given to freshers, even if their performance is good?

Most of the AM level are giving negative comments to resources and saying thisbis internal feedback and then posting only negative feedback in portal for the people who are leaving or getting released from project.too much micromanagement is done by manager here although people have delivered the task.
Came across the same situation... L7/8 are asking to give negative feedback for the ones who are leaving... Apparently to save the ones on PIP... Couldn't understand the logic behind it but yes it's happening... Unbelievable!

If that person only gave you negative feedback in workday it's a problem. If what all he said over the call and some of it is included in work day feedback along with negative feedback it's fine.

This is what you should have said on the call, your words should have been I appreciate and acknowledge the things you wrote on workday I also would have been greatful if you added some of what you're saying here on call on workday as that would have motivated me more to perform much better

Oh shit, this is the reason that they are looking for, they are trying to nail you down, donβt panic, but look for other options

In recent times so many are posting these kinds of stories that work day negative feedback and on verb they are saying it is just formality doing good nothing will happen...This red flag verb communication don't have any proof...any documented feedback like workday, email are valid don't fall into trap, if they are not mailing...post discussion sent the minutes and ask them to acknowledge and ideally they don't...keep single line stating in the email if you don't hear back I will consider acknowledging above points...anyways your workday feedback is screwed officially...if you don't give this kind of jerks to them they keep doing this...
