Got laid off. Need some suggestions

I was recently laid off and am currently living in Bangalore. I’m a bit confused about whether I should go back to my hometown or stay in Bangalore and prepare for new job opportunities. Some people have suggested that I stay in Bangalore since there are more and better opportunities here, including placement drives and face-to-face interviews.

I would like to know how I can get information about such placement drives and walk-in interviews happening in Bangalore. Any suggestions or resources would be greatly appreciated.

I also need guidance on how to prepare and what to focus on. I have 1 year of experience and am currently looking for SDE (Software Development Engineer) roles. The company has given me 3 months of compensation, so I have around 2–3 months to prepare and find a job.

Grapevine community, I would really appreciate your help and suggestions.

Unless you’re bound to be distracted at home, I’d suggest to pack your bags & go home. Placement drives don’t necessarily guarantee any advantage over Virtual ones.
