Got Laid Off and Found Peace in Mountains
I was laid off from my company last week and got severance of 2 months. I was sad and decided to visit Mountains thinking I am already being paid in Advance to tour and travel.
I decided to visit Mukteshwar and the place is very peaceful got a great deal at a Homestay booked them for 6nights and 7days. Today is my 4th day here, I went on a mini trek and took some interesting shots.
Mountains and good AQI feels so good. Gtown and Bangalore I have worked in both worlds.
If someone is going through such though situation, I would be happy to communicate.
I feel pumped up now and already making a plan updating resume and lining up interviews.
One can DM me if they want to know where am I staying in Mountains or you Geo-guess it.
Hoping to jump back and get a great remote position if possible.

I was in similar situation. I resigned without having offer after just after climbing up on tallest mountain in Gujarat

Next week only I got offer

Oh being a virgo myself I too am really interested in visiting silent and peaceful locations. Hence I prefer even staying at home for weeks together.

Hope you don't have a family to feed . Or an EMI to pay. I also assume that you are not the sole breadwinner in your family. Such statements of chilling out often come from these categories people. And yeah, you belong the aforementioned, you can chill anywhere and anytime. Doesn't makes any difference

Have u planned Financial planning for 1 year or so? Curious to know whether you've EMIs or responsibilities

Enjoy this free time bro 👏🏻 Try installing google camera and take deep sky pictures as there is no pollution 😊 I captured milky way galaxy during my kedarkantha trek

Which Phone?

What's google camera?

I am also layoff and going through tough situation

Take this as an indication to start a business. Take that remote job but also find an income source that does not have power over you. Go to the mountains when you feel overwhelmed with borh the work so you can relax but also get reminded of why you are working so hard.

Any suggestions for businesses?

Unfortunately this is not how it will work. You need to find something that suits you and then when you begin you will find that you need to pivot and then there will be iterations.

Welcome to the layoff club😀...I faced 3 layoffs in 2 years and am doing well as of now, at least stable job, hopefully something better will happen in future with all hardwork
