Got an offer from Oracle OCI
My previous base salary was 12.7 LPA (11.5 fixed + 1.2 variable). Does this new offer seem reasonable, or have I been lowballed? Also, what are your thoughts on OCI? Should I accept the offer or explore other opportunities?

Great offer

Hi @Someone , Congratulations, on your offer. Have a few queries.
Is the role in OCI a developer role?. or are you going to work as Admin/dba/consultant?.
I am trying to learn and transaction towards oci so would like to ask it

Yeah my role is of Senior Software Developer

Great, if i need to start as a developer in OCI means where can i start. Can you please provide your suggestions pls

Little low for OCI. I had heard that OCI guys beat even Google and Microsoft in paying

YOE? And tech stack?

3 YOE
Java Backend

Congratulations on the OCI offer. Probably you won’t be getting your next base increment for another 2 year in Oracle!

I asked about this to the hiring HR and he told that this is some what true but the team in which I was hired was one of the top teams in OCI and regarding hikes I would be taken care of. Not sure how much of this is true.

Looks like a really good offer tbh

Hi, currently I am also having same salary as you and 2.5 YoE and preparing for switch and stack is same, Can you please tell your preparation story and how much DSA required to get same level of package?

I would say practice mostly leetcode mediums and some hard questions.

Hi I'm also 3 years experienced. From where did you prepare and which topics

There were a total of 4 rounds 3 were technical and one was managerial. In all 4 rounds questions related to DSA and core java concepts were asked. DSA questions were medium level mostly but 1 hard level question was asked. For core java, questions were mostly related to multi threading concepts. A bit of HLD was also asked while discussing my current company project.
