Got a no work project in TCS
So I got a project and there is literally no work. Everyone is just sitting idol.
Iam just a 2024 passout and I don't want to end my career like this.
Should I ask for a project release which will never happen or should I prepare for other companies.
I have experience in cloud, mern and can work on any ts projects.
Any advice. I'm sitting idol for 4 months.
I'm not wasting my time, I read engineering blogs and more to learn during office hours
I can relate to your situation. I joined a company directly from campus placements. The pay was good. But I literally had zero work.
I enjoyed this for a while.
But then when I started my friends climbing up the ladder, earning more , upskilling themselves.... I realised this wasn't helping me in the long run
I started looking outside and got a better job with a better hike in a product based company. I wouldn't be earning as much as I am now if I had stayed there in the previous company. It would've taken at least 4-5 years to reach this level.

Even I am at the same situation as yours 2024 batch ....but when we try to switch in interviews they would ask what have u done in yours previous company? How to answer them if there's not much work to do 😔

You answered it yourself . Prep - move.
Do external AI & cloud related courses. You have all the time in the world. Once you are confident then quit TCS and look for other companies with the newly acquired skills. Tcs is not good for freshers as well as Laterals. Toxic environment I've seen in my throughout carrier. Treating people like school students.

Prepare and move out. Service companies are not hood for starting a career. Either go to a startup, since its ur career starting, atleast u will gain some skills or go to a product based company. U can join a service based company in later part of ur career, so it becomes easy to come out from there
