Got a Job. Job market is not really bad

Hi Gviners,

I would like to thank Grapevine and everyone who commented on my previous post. I honestly didn’t expect a random stranger to take time out and come on a video call to help me with the job switch situation I was facing. However, someone from Grapevine actually did, and they boosted my confidence to aim for a big package instead of settling for less.

(I know many people here have crazy packages. I mentioned a "big package" in the context of the hike I received, which was over 100%.)

I don’t want to drag this post further, so I’ll end it with a note: React is in demand, MERN is not really saturated, and companies are willing to pay 100%+ hikes if you’re good at full-stack development.

I’m not sure how things will pan out in the future, but to be honest, I’m really scared about the developments in AI (Bolt, Cursor, V0, etc.) that can build full-stack apps in minutes.

I would highly appreciate it if someone could comment on the reality of the MERN stack as a career option.
