Trending @Wipro; Got a 5 star rating this time!!! Don’t know where to keep these 5 stars
It’s been 2 year and 10 months since I joined this company as a fresher with band B1 and finally after many mails and showing off my work that I delivered and everything, I received 5 star rating this time. 🌟
But I don’t really think that these 5 stars are going to be any much of a use to me. I asked for a band promotion 6months back but they gave me 5 star this time. The funny part is, My manager is saying that even he do not have a clear idea about the new band promotion policy. LOL and he expects me to believe it. 😅
How ever, I can see I’m In a N+1 role from past 6 months and hopefully may be from July 1st I’ll be nominated to B2 band automatically. Or else it’s again going to take another 3 months from here to beg for band promotion again to manager and HR.
I wish the band promotion policy is much more easier and transparent to all the employees. 🙂👍

Eat 5 star do nothing and leave the company

Bro…as you’re a project manager, please explain us how the role based promotion works 🥲 I’m stuck in N+1 band for almost 6 months now. What can I do to go for B2 ?

Let’s understand the promotion policy based on role rotation:
If you have been working on a project for more than 18 months, you become eligible for a rotation. To be considered for a promotion, you must move out of your current project/account. In the new project, you need to perform the N+1 role (next-level role) for at least 6 months.
Performing the N+1 role in your current project is not considered valid for promotion purposes — it’s like writing on water. Once the system captures your new project assignment and validates your role change, your promotion will be processed.
Note: You must start performing from scratch in the new project and prove yourself in the higher role for promotion eligibility

universal rule !! never stay in some company more than 2 years until you have some peraonal dependancy
