Google L5 offer evaluation
Hi All,
I am from a tier 4 college and worked my way up in the corporate ladder. So, working for Google had always been an end goal for me. I am requesting some guidance from Googlers if possible about the offer that I have got. I am mostly concerned about refreshers and how my expected TC would look like after first year.
Offered TC: 62L (*PF, gratuity etc. are separate.) 15% Bonus 145K stocks vesting schedule (38%, 32%, 20%, 10%) First year TC: ~1.2 CR
Current TC: yoe: 15Y 53L 15% Bonus 100K stocks currently valued at 180K (vesting schedule 25, 25, 25, 25) Yearly TC: ~ 85L / 1CR (if consider stock appreciation)
Holding Offer: 75L 15% Bonus 100K stocks (25, 25, 25, 25 vesting schedule) Yearly TC: 1.05 Cr

Grinding from 4+ years and still reached 15LPA

How do you know which tier college you have? Mine really is not in any tier still worth checking. NonIIT, NonIIIT or NIT

Google < salesforce in terms of job security In hand > stocks, given the current market situation
You can also try to negotiate your offer with salesforce by showing what you have from google.
Lastly, the things we generally overlook while choosing the company, you nay want to evaluate those too: employee benefits (health, insurance, food, transport etc.), company culture, and your manager. Try to gauge these too before you take the final call. All the best!

Nope; Offer is solid as per 2025 standards

Why not l6 at 15yoe? L5 seems to be a bit down levelled?

Sir, as far as I can tell, it's a pretty good offer. Probably quite higher than the average L5 currently working in the company

Big 4 pays more for this YOE( if you become partner or associate partner)

My experience is between 11Y - 13Y. I lied to maintain anonymity and big 4 does not pay better than this I have worked there. You cannot achieve "partner" before 18YoE or even more. I would go even as far as to say the worst decision you can do is to work for any Big 4, especially Deloitte (too much work and paid in pennies).
