Google ghosting candidates
Google HR contacted me for interview took my CV. Invited me to a meet to explain interview process. Took 5 dates of interview. Then went on ghosting me, after 3 weeks he replied that my profile is still under process. Them ai received a mail today saying that “Hi xxxxx, As of now we don't have any suitable roles for your profile. We will keep your profile with us and will get in touch with you for future opportunities.”
If they dont have opening for My profile then why did the y shortlisted my CV and took dates for interview? Anybody has faced similar situation?

There should be a law passed that companies should close interview within 7-10 days as this causes lot of wastage of time. I know a friend where company took 6 months to give him his job offer by that time he already joined another company

HR explained you the interview process and u still didn’t get it?
once u’ve cleared all coding/domain rounds then comes team matching round where they share your cv with Hiring managers that these candidates are your options to fill open position. They always have few candidates already cleared with interviews as backup so they don’t need to wait for right candidate in case someone exits.
It is totally possible that you clear all rounds, yet no hiring manager likes your past work and decides to go ahead with another candidate. People have reported team matching round delayed to even 4 months!
The reason to dropping your cv is they already have X amount of people with their rounds cleared with similar skills as you but they aren’t able to find suitable teams for them itself so there’s no point interviewing you.
I know how the interview process is, my question is why they are even interviewing so many candidates even though they don’t have those many openings. May be thats how their hiring operations are happening .
