Trending @Infosys; Good rating and promotion can't happen both is it true?
Hi i got promotion this year and I am the only one who got promotion in my team but i recieved met expectations rating some of my team member got commendable when I ask my team lead he said both good ratings and promotion can't be given manager also said same .Is there someone else face same?

No nothing like that. I got promotion and the best rating as well.
Though the IJP team mentioned that if I got the promotion hike then I can not expect appraisal hike.
Again, that depends on your managers mood , if he is happy, he will give you commendable despite simple work 😂
Understand that your manager has only a few incentives in his hand. And if there is not much differences between you and other guys. One incentive goes to one team member and the other benefit to another . You have to really that much better than others to corner all incentives for yourself. So to your questions it’s mostly true but not always. Depends on how better/critical you are vis a vi your team mates
