I have worked on applications support and developer role previously, if I want to get into development project here how to achieve

Attended one project interview by saying worked as pure developer role but client round was more scenario based so got reject even though I answered 60% of the questions.

Also current project ppl doesn't value mainframe team. Luckily short term project so
