Going on notice period soon. Got some questions.

Hello All, Here's another post of a TCSer leaving TCS due to various reasons.

Going to give notice soon but got a few questions which if anyone can answer:

  1. Does 90 days NP counts the weekends or only working days? Like if I apply NP on 30th May, will my LWD be 30th June 2025 after 3 months or earlier?

  2. If I apply leave on NP , will it extend the NP?

  3. Should I do WFH in NP as anyways they cannot do anything which will matter afterwards I think? Was maintaining 5 days RTO earlier.

  4. Going without any offer is hand, what are some things I should take care of while searching for jobs on various portals like Naukri?

  5. Is there any simple professional template anyone has which they have used successfully earlier?

  1. 90 days includes weekends (you work from Mon-Fri, but in your payslip, you get paid for 30/31 days)
  2. Only reasonable sick leaves are allowed in NP. No paid leaves or casual leaves can be used, unless planned beforehand (applied before resignation).
  3. No idea about this, but I don't think it matters. To be on the safe side, atleast go 2-3 days a week for 4-5 hours.
  4. Well, that's a big risk. But if you have the skills to back it up, you're good to go.
  5. Just drop a polite email to HR keeping supervisor in CC.

I agree with the 4th point, But with 90 days NP no one is scheduling interviews.
