Gmail Update
Have been seeing the same description for ages, why don't Gmail team mention on what they updated? Even when layout of Gmail was changed, it wasn't mentioned.
Atleast other's in Google LLC have "Fixed performance issues and bugs"

They are too busy giving Gyaan on LinkedIn or moonlighting
Once a major feature is rolled out they throw it in multiple versions (ways), then check engagement, the versions which are impacting engagement, they move those users to other versions, after a certain period all users are moved to feature version which has performed well. In all this exercise if anything is mentioned and not available to user will cause confusion
Then this feature is mentioned in "About this app".
Also for minor fixes "- fixed a memory leak" is not helpful for common users
