Global remote jobs

Hey fam,

I want to know, if some of you were able to crack the code of Global Remote jobs? If yes, how did you found out about the job and approached?

I have seen people pretty hesitant about saying how they found out the job. Don’t understand this. But will rant about this someday.

*Wanted to ask here especially because this a pretty niche community of techies out there.

They are hesitant because they don't want you to come and increase the competition

Haha! Increasing competition? Like seriously? I haven’t seen anyone increasing competition when we refer someone to our workplace. This is same as that. Just instead of ₹ they are getting paid $/€

And if at all they are so insecure that by referring someone increases competition they don’t deserve this place in the first place!

Not everyone is nice man and some are really insecure

Much harder now, during the boom it was relatively easier.

A good portfolio and decent communication skills help. Beyond that it's just the matter of looking for them. Of course large orgs will rarely hire in this way, so look for small-mid sized startups.

Thanks mate! But how to you search them? Linkedin ? Or any other way?

Find an org, apply on their website/portal postings or even cold mail or cold DM hiring managers or folks working in the team you wish to work for. Keep it brief and to the point.

Yep. If ppl know why will they tell u?

Same way as they tell when people have openings in their org and refer them. And for the answer why- to see fellow colleagues grow with you.
