Given the corporate chaos

have you reached a stage where neither praise nor criticism affects you?

I was part of the layoff even after a promotion in 3rd year and 1st rating in 4th year with the organisation. I realised one thing - No one is that important in IT. No one will help you when you will be in trouble.

So why take stress?
To hell with the criticism.

Work, earn money, give a fake smile when they say "we are family" and leave every organisation after 2-3 years.

Ola driver was telling me a few incidents about IT guys' lifestyle and Weekend Parties and all. He was saying in the next 5 or 10 years nobody will marry an IT professional.

When you're in a toxic environment, and you can see through their bs, you learn to recognize the so-called praise as a precedent to more work, and criticism as the mark of denial to work well done. Higher up, thr favourite will be marked with love with only half or less work and impact. Not all the time but only in compromised systems, does this scenario unfold and a part of you literally dies. Always on auto pilot, always Ina daze but still anxious. Get out of there. Breathe.

Na praise ki bhook, na criticism ka khauf..

Job is just for money, the rest are byproducts.(culture, friends, perks, awards, criticism, outings)
